Their Elasticsearch cluster went down and it's taking forever to rebuild their index. They should really consider looking into some more modern alternatives for that layer of the application.
I'm interested to see where you land the project at post-GH. The platform has just not grown in the ways I had hoped and their reliability has been a real issue for awhile now.
I would hope they would prioritize stability and features that devs have been asking for but it seems like that is not where their focus is at.
Matthias's suggestion about reframing the context of the purpose of the Rust language struck a chord with me. His post is building a bit off of Niko Matsakis's blog post about the same concept but goes a bit more in depth. There is a perception of Rust as being just a "systems programming" language when really it is a language for building "foundational software".
