sounds like a i spilled the hot coffee on my privates now i'm going to sue situation

obligatory reminder that mcdonald’s was, in fact, found to be at fault in that case. they were genuinely serving coffee at 3rd-degree-burn-level temperatures. the person who spilled the coffee was an elderly woman and spent 8 days in the hospital, needing skin grafts. it has since been used as an example of frivolous litigation, which i think is a little perverse, given the details of the case.

the project is largely successful though, supporting linux has been way more pain when we have to do it for non systemd systems.. but i guess good news is we just charge customers more for their niche setups

i already have snaps why do i need this flat thing?

You dont need it, it's just one way to install it. You can just download the appimage and use that as well. The point was to say that @aizk comment was ridiculous

Not gonna lie - I read this line

> If you are running another distro then you can run sudo ./install.sh, but you need to manually install the dependencies, as described below.

And then I just skimmed the rest, because I assumed it would be about manual dependency installation which I am not interested in.

Odd that the easiest installation method listed on line 3 was not the first line in the installation text, that's not a great DX.

Also - I'm on MacOS, and the OBS blog updated I shared was for MacOS.
