What is the Roman Empire worse than in your mind? It lasted centuries, its literally perhaps the longest running in history. If it's the fate of the Roman Empire we have to face, then I can't wish for anything better. You can of course say it slid into dictatorship, now prove it was due to the race admixture. Anyone can read anything into the transition and fall of the Roman Empire.

I suppose you will then say, you fear your country would become "Muslim" or insert whatever religion you hate. But Muslim is an idea it's not a race. A religion can convert a country without even a single marriage or mixup because it's an idea, so tell me again how do you feel you are safe from a foreign religion just because your "race" is different? And the nice thing is the arabs or whatever race has you wetting your bed will also have had thoroughly had to mix up with the locals by that point, already rendering them "impure". And I have you covered with a great anti-democratic solution for that: forcible state mandated atheism.

If you do believe in anti-democratic system of governance, then I propose we force every person to marry a person of a different race and forcibly make every locality thoroughly mixed up using information theoretic entropy definitions. Why not, why's mine better or worse than your idea of anti-democratic rule?

Suppose a future world where all the world, every country is thoroughly mixed up by today's racial standards. There is no "white" country, no "chinese" country, no "black" country. How do you think race wars would be organized, "Lets kill all the [racist slur] bastards of this country" wait what, there's no easy country to point to, already making race war quite difficult. Or do you like having race wars? Again, I fail to see what exactly is the "loss" or "gain" of a race existing or not? What has it ever given us? It's like religion and nationalism, very little benefits and pure destruction and waste of human life in the balance of history.

Why do you feel among all the cultures there, you know which one among them would will out. I see no point in being among my race if it's a communist or fascist country. The race has already failed me then. Hell give me aliens from mars and I'd gladly live among them if they are liberal democratic and capitalistic. To me these three principles are paramount, the identity of the agents executing them is irrelevant.

Whites visiting scandinavianis a funny one, because today we treat all white people as one race but unless that man was of origin from scandinavia it's most probable its the governance system and culture he likes not a racial kinship.

I absolutely don't feel comfort based on common ethnicity. I find comfort more or less in any democratic, capitalist liberal society and I absolutely hate life in anything not this even if it may be my race people or anyone else.

You should stop living in your head. Your imagination is making up hallucinations and visions that's seriously impairing your life.

He's done this fucked in the head stupidity with me too, he says utterly random not-even-wrong things out of his ass and keeps mindlessly repeating them as if he didn't hear anything when asked to cite actual case law or statistics. He has literally no idea how American legal system works and makes up absurd crap like filming cops is illegal or makes up crap about ICE agents having "court orders". When I cornered him on this asking him how many were actual court orders and how many legally null internal ICE "Karen" warrants proving he has no fucking idea, he kept repeating his retardation in circles. He still doesn't seem to understand the idea that police cannot and is not granted any powers to decide what is illegal, that is a matter of the courts. He also cited some absurd crap about deportations reducing crime again showing he is making up absurd crap out of his ass, for in many studies immigrants are shown to commit less crimes so deportation would increase the per capita crime rate.

The idea is mostly that we shouldn't worry. The user of the lib on an arduino will feed it arduino sized problems and the amd64 user will likewise larger problems. Again I think just think of the transition from 32 to 64 bit. Most ranges are "input"/"user " dependent and it would have been needlessly messy to have to even with automatic conversion help rewrite say every i32 to i64 or which ones to convert.

That's size_t. What about counting milliseconds?

As I said, today when it really matters we can use stdint. But I feel it would have been too burdensome to mandate on the standard in the early days of C.

Like fucking what? If you do any TS.. you just use unsigned whatever fastest type you have on targeting platform, and you do NOT care. 16bit? wrapping at 1 min? Thats eternity even on 2MHz 6502... You just count and substract to get difference. Usually you are <1000ms range.. so wrapping is not a problem..

If you target about 32bit and 16bit, you either think about and using long (on 16 bit is more costly) or you just count seconds.. Or ticks.. or whatever you need.

cool, it's an app that lets me set a 2 minute timer and counts in milliseconds, oh what's that, it doesn't work right on Arduino

Then use long.. Does Arduino CPU cannot do 16bit add/sub with carry? wtf?

I'm not writing the app. The app was written according to your preferred design and I'm compiling it for Arduino. You say to just use int because it always has enough bits, then you say to sometimes use long because int might not have enough bits.

I dont know the indented use. If you need delay or difference, 16bit is more than enough. If you writting generic clock w/ ms accuracy, it will be not enough. You either split it or use larger storage. Its not rocket science...

There is a platform where int has less than the prescribed 16 bits? How much does it have then, just 8bit or something weird?

Arduino has 16-bit int, so the timer app will work up to 32.767 or 65.535 seconds, that is less than two minutes.

When you choose unsigned int for that type, you compare against UINT_MAX and return an EOVERFLOW, ENOMEM, EOUT_OF_RANGE or whatever you like when someone sets a timer greater than that. Or you choose another type, i.e. unsigned long which is guaranteed to take values to at least 4294967295. I happen to program for the Arduino platform recently and milliseconds in the Arduino API are typed unsigned long.

If your decision is that you really want to store all 32-bit values then you use uint_least32_t or uint_fast32_t depending if you are also resource constrained.

Right, so you can't just use int.
