I have implemented similar behavior in some of my projects. For one, I also have also implemented 'cursors' that point to some part of a value bound to a variable and allow you to change that part of the value of the variable. I have used this to implement program transformations on abstract parse (syntax) trees [1]. I also have implemented a dictionary based on a tree where only part of the tree is modified that needs to be modified [2]. I have also started working on a language that is based on this, but also attempts to add references with defined behavior [3].
Did not find a single atheist or agnostic on it. Maybe there are some among those who refused to tell it. Sometimes I get the idea that it more acceptable to call yourself a satanist than an atheist in the USA, because if you associate as a satanist you at least acknowledge there is a god.
In case of a war, the USA will go broke due to the enormouse state dept and the USD will crash. That dept is largely owned by EU countries and the PRC due to trade deficits.
That the USD may crash during war time is not important, it's not the same economic rules that apply during war time and if USA wins that crash will not be important.
But from now most nations and other economic investors will be hesitant to buy USA's debt, as its behavior is less and less predictable. The main problem is what to buy instead.
It failed for political reasons. Political leaders being afraid to get involved in the war. Also do not rule out right wing political parties that are often anti-Ukraine and pro-Russia due to being sponsord by Russia.
The USA also has had it share of preventing the EU from getting involved.
There might be more competition in Europe than you think, because there are fewer companies that dominate the whole continent.
Also Europe houses the company that builds the worlds most complex machines, which depends on innovations made by hunderds of other companies. I worked at one of those companies.
