my understanding is that GCP has recently changed their startup programme. I applied a few weeks ago, and had the same bad service as the OP.

If you take out the startup bit, something like Float app feels more useful since it connects with Xero and can do some of the scenario planning too: https://floatapp.com/

I have to say, I'm pretty excited by this. Mutual insurance companies have existed for a good while, but they're not easy to find. Having one that's married to great tech definitely makes me want to use it.

How do you know they have great tech?

I'd agree with that. There's a general feeling that people are surprised when their insurance companies pay out/cover some big cost (like rot), rather than it just being part of life. That says something about how much we trust existing insurance companies.

Just typed in 'What if robots ruled the world?'

No reply after 10mins ... shouldn't I get some sort of error handling/user expectation management if it's a question that can't be answered by Murphy?

As much as it pains for me to say it, I do think small, quiet 1-2 person offices are great for thinking and getting real work done. I believe the IDEO offices in the Bay Area have a combination of a centralised area for discussions and collaboration, but a set of smaller offices for more focused work time. Something which would actually be quite nice to see more of ...

I don't understand, why does that pain you to say? That sounds like a great idea.

+1 on the comment.

I'd still give it a spin though. We've been looking for a way to make github work better for us, and this looks like it's going to hit the mark.

Ginsberg - Edinburgh, Scotland, Full Time Head of User Acquisition, Project Ginsberg

We’re looking to complete our team by hiring a Head of User Acquisition to drive and execute our strategy around building a world-class mental wellbeing service for the Scottish population.

Key tasks are the planning and execution of our public beta launch plan and driving users to a number of smaller products that might be part of our product suite. Your ultimate success criteria is the number of relevant users that arrive at and activate our services.

We’re a data driven project: part of your responsibility is to identify and quantify the most appropriate acquisitions channels for reaching our target users.

Very competitive pay. Get in touch through kate at project-ginsberg.com see: https://www.project-ginsberg.com/blog/were-hiring-looking-fo...

I just tried to get a refund, but realised that indiegogo doesn't hold funds like kickstarter do.

I understand that its my own fault for not waiting, but if Indiegogo doesn't do anything about this, I think their reputation could get quite badly damaged ...

Call your credit card company and do a chargeback. It's easy, straightforward, and if you tell them you accidentally put money into a scam and that there is $1M invested in this, they might do an investigation on their end.

But you chose to donate in the first place. How is this anyone else's fault?
