> Exhibit A: In Safari I had to "share" this page to use the "Find on Page" feature to search whether anyone had mentioned the share button yet. Bonkers.

You can also long-press on the address bar to see a whole slew of even more hidden functionality

It's very hard to reply without making a snarky sarcastic comment at Apple's expense. Thanks for sharing that super intuitive interface trick, it's so obvious now I know it's there.

(seriously though, thanks).

“Empirical evidence” and “what is determined as undesirable, maladaptive, or outside the social norm” are not mutually exclusive.

These are not strong or well structured counter arguments. The first argument, for instance, reads as premature optimization via hiring practices.

I can't speak for this website specifically but Cloudflare makes it pretty easy to geolocate users based on request headers.

This looks like a solid entry level hardware project for anyone interested in raspberry pi and e-ink technologies.

Browsing on mobile, I think it would provide a better user experience to open links in the same tab.

Yup, if I want a new tab I can middle-click, or long-click, or whatever.

At best this is just arrogance from the website developer thinking they know best.

It's personal preference. I can write it however I want and you can decide to use it or not.
