I see only colored text, where is the visualization?

Imust admit I expected more, too.

Isn’t the consensus nowadays that the number of chunks you can hold in working memory more like four?

Unrelated? Because that's an important distinction

In the Finder it is translated to your system language. For example, „Programme“ in German. It is still Applications in the terminal.

We used to peruse the library back in the day.

Ha I would spend a couple hours in front of the library copy machine at the start of the semester, and then take my stack to the store and get it bound myself.

I considered this for one particularly hard to find book and it turned out it would have not cost much more to just buy the textbook compared to printing it lol

Lol yea this mostly worked out for cases where just a few chapters were assigned.

Maybe we should introduce Mean Time Between Annoyance (MTBA).

Many of my appliances (dish washer, coffee maker, …) work just fine for weeks before an annoyance pops up („deep clean“, for example). Many of my applications do not. For most I could measure MBTA in minutes. Definitely with Spotlight.

I would much prefer if you could change the order so that _local_ results come first, web results after — not possible (anymore). Sad.

Miro works great, I really like the UI

Unfortunately Miro really is not too great with a Wacom on Desktop:(

That is actually a feature called ‚Stacks‘. Open the context menu on your desktop and de-select ‚use stacks‘.

No, I know stacks and they're not them. In my case, new icons (e.g. downloads, files that I save, etc.) appear on top of each other, as if the desktop lost track of their position. It's clearly a bug that hasn't been fixed in a long time.

But the nice thing about carefully designed products is that they can be built by people who don’t care.

Not sure if that’s possible when building software systems.
