Apparently, I learned something new today.

User combined Frigate (AI-powered video surveillance), a custom CNN model, and Babybuddy to automatically track their toddler’s sleep patterns. The model runs inference in ~15ms and achieves 99.8% accuracy detecting whether their toddler is in bed.

As others here below have noticed, there is no match between actual data and predictions made by the authors.

Which is definitely strange, and we should ask: why?

Because people tend to predict the future they wish would happen, not what the data says would be most likely.

The same thing happens with every HN predictions thread.

Completely agree with this analysis.

Especially on the GDF aspect which is definitely true and impacting both SMBs and big Corps.

When the majority of the GDP is generated by public expenditures, you need to extort money. Which is pretty bad but that’s standard practice.

Yes. This is their public roadmap.

The CBDC, the “Digital Euro”, will be nail in the coffin.

In Italy they’re pretty advanced with the Digital ID, for example.

This is a general approach applied also to the population.

In Europe there is a particular concept of freedom.

Like the old adage goes. In the USA you have freedom for things. In Europe you have freedom from things.

This Chat Control 2.0 nonsense has to be killed off once for all.

I stopped reading at this point:

> It’s why the world wasted $10B+ on self driving car companies that obviously made no sense. There’s a much bigger market for truths that pump bags vs truths that don’t.

This reeks of bias-dismissing massive investments as ‘obvious’ nonsense while hyping its own tinygrad as the ‘truth’ in AI coding.

Author is allowed to claim ‘most people do not care to find the truth’ but it’s hypocritical when the post ignores counterpoints, like PyTorch’s dominance in efficient coding benchmarks.

Author doesn’t seem to care about finding the full truth either, just the version that pumps its bag.

Maybe it solves one problem, but it has many other: https://coinpaper.com/10812/qubic-vs-monero-pr-stunt-or-proo...

Also, always remember native coinjoin.

That was fake news, please update your knowledge on the topic: https://riat.at/qubic-attack-on-xmr-monero-no-51-attack-prov...

Also, what is that problem you mention with coinjoin? Please provide details.
