There is also https://pairdrop.net - same thing, but you don't have to download anything, it works on the web.

I know it won't fix the core issue, but you can try (at least on android) Firefox with uBlock Origin (with filter lists for cookies and annoyances enabled). It makes the web usable on mobile for me.

I use it for fonts. My website [0] consists of about 15kB of compressed HTML + CSS and 200kB of fonts.

Why do I care about fonts? Honestly, if my browser had an option not to load fonts and use my default to save load time I ld choose that 19 out 20 times.

Firefox does have that option. The main annoying thing you'll encounter is that some websites use custom fonts for symbols.

> 15kB of compressed HTML + CSS

Could be less than 14 if classes were not duplicating css.

Zed has Helix keybindings now!

https://zed.dev/

Even as someone who uses both Helix and Zed, I don’t find Zed’s Helix keybindings very useful. There is still too much basic stuff missing. The biggest one to me personally is that the “gw” command does not seem to be implemented.

Have you found them to work well and be consistent? I've been a helix user for a couple years now, and I found Zed's helix keybindings to be inaccurate. Either that or I have some config options set that were confounding them. Curious how your experience with them has been?

Off-topic, but kudos to Zed as being the first editor to actually allow me do Emacs keybindings which don't suck. Requires configuration, but overall it works and I use it alongside my regular Emacs. Feels great!

I'm glad I could share it!

From their FAQ:

> We currently only support English and its dialects British, American, Canadian, and Australian. Other languages are on the horizon, but we want our English support to be truly amazing before we diversify.

I thought of the same thing!

Good job. May I ask how did you promote your software to get first users? And how long it took you?

I've done last two AoCs in F# (well, only the first few days too). For a person without prior functional programming experience, it was fun! Unfortunately I won't have time to participate this year, but if I did, I'd probably chose F# again.
