The article is paywall, but has anyone attempted to transcribe the whole thing?

I always hear Oatmeal uses glyphosates heavily. Is that true?

Glyphosate is used prior to harvesting oats to desiccate the plants to make them more uniform for harvesting as they ripen at different times, desiccating the plants makes threshing the grain easier, as the greener plants will dry out from desiccation.

I keep seeing this post on HN. Does this trigger some grok workflow only for the user or is it a joke?

It works on Twitter, but not here on HN. It's a joke akin to commenting "Press X to doubt".

It's a joke.

@ doesn't do anything on HN.

The update they describe should never bring down all services. I agree with other posters that they must lack a rollout strategy yet they sent spam emails mocking the reliability of other clouds

The irony is they support rolling out incrementally with some of their products for deployment.

They need that same mindset for themselves in config/updates/infra changes but probably easier said than done.

Chesterton wrote on this topic in his The Error of Impartiality (a short five minute read) that’s worthwhile

This is what I would do too but one problem I think there is a max HTTP URL length

Not until we put it on the blockchain

The disappointing thing is I’d rather them spend the time improving security but it sounds like all cycles are shoved into making AI shovels. Last year, the CEO promised security would come first but it’s not the case

Security does come first.

Job security.

> And then came the final insult: everyone was forced to use Microsoft's AI tools whether they worked or not.

Copilot for Word. Copilot for PowerPoint. Copilot for email. Copilot for code. Worse than the tools they replaced. Worse than competitors' tools. Sometimes worse than doing the work manually.

This is revolting. Three years ago I’d have said this is a terrible black mirror plot

My assumption lately is that this workflow is literally just “it works, so merge”. Running multiple in parallel does not allownfor inspection of the code just for testing functional requirements at the end
