Does having larger LFP cells, like the 4680 format, allow this chemistry to be used in higher-performance models? Right now it looks like only the RWD basic models use LFP cells everything else uses NMC.

This is an excellent book that cover how wild this project was (website has incorrect url slug): https://www.anniejacobsen.com/operation-paperclip-1

One thing I realized about eSIM is your device needs internet access (either WiFi or another SIM) to get the new eSIM working. While that is usually not a problem, I imagine some people run into issues.

Using Liquid Glass on both a retina and non-retina display it looks like Apple is trying to depreciate non-retina displays just like they have done in the past with floppy disk, cd rom, and having useful ports. Tahoe on a non-retina display looks slightly but noticeably shittier than the previous version.

Sceptre makes some decent dumb TVs with large screen sizes https://www.sceptre.com/TV/4K-UHD-TV-category1category73.htm...

Looks like an hit piece to trigger some people to dump their $NVDA stock. They worked phrases like "abandon" and "AI Bubble" into the title/subtitle. Authors other articles look like clickbait crap https://www.pcworld.com/author/jon-martindale

The US doesn't want to piss off all the USO's zipping around underwater.

Yep, this is what I was thinking. It was part of the detente negotiated to end the "drone" hysteria about this time last year.

I'm glad to see they didn't use wordpress.

These state required ID walls to use online services will eventually be required to access anything the internet.

Also I think this is the reason M$ and Apple offer (or forced in the case of M$) you to use an online account to log into your local machine. I believe this will be used in the future to allow people to legally use the internet or not at all. Would a world like this mean using Linux makes you an outlaw in certain areas?

Maybe this will kill IoT. Alternately, I will become a smart fridge.

No, corporations can always do whatever they want. And they won't allow a smart fridge to have a bank account or health care

Maybe not the worst idea if we're looking to claim back what's been lost to LLM bots

I’m not sure how a surveillance state is better? That wouldn’t regain what we are losing to LLM bots, it would be yet another thing we’re losing.

Nah, the only platforms left will sell the right to post ads into your feed and sell access to the data to the LLM companies
