I read your comment first and went on to read the OP expecting something terrible. What I actually found is something that is about 90% right, specially in the beginning, where it matters most for beginners.

I feel like it work as a good guide for a beginner as it is, but yes I would change it a little bit myself, mostly what you mentioned.
