He says that only because it blames the West and favors the "alternative world order" narrative backed by China/Russia. It's completely hypocritical as China, Russia and Lula and his political party loves censorship and only defend journalism and free speech when it is in its interests. Currently Lula party is trying to pass a "ministry of truth" bill (PL2630).

The press has long forgotten about journalism. The press needs money for the shareholders and for the families of the so called "journalists".
