Inference means synthesizing new facts from facts already known. A large language model only knows facts about language elements in its training corpus, therefore any reasoning based on such a model can only ever derive facts about language.
Language is used by people to communicate facts about the world and people's internal states across time and space, therefore a language corpus contain information about the world and the people.

I agree, and I am still pointing to the collapse of society, not civilization. My infrastructure is local. If local society collapses, what reason do people have to maintain transmission and distribution lines and electrical substations, to work at power plants, to maintain fiber optic or copper lines for internet connectivity?
Even if "the internet" as a whole is still around, the inability for someone to connect to and to use it means cryptocurrency is similarly useless.
Child abuse is already illegal, the law needs to be expanded to cover these new forms of harm to children. It seems reasonable that I am held criminally accountable if I expose my child to harmful Internet content like social media.
Male and female are preferred terms because they are objective and emotionally neutral while avoiding the sexism of misusing the word "man" to mean male human.

Historically, "man" comes from Old English "mann," which originally meant "human being" or "person" in a gender-neutral way, without specifying male or female. Back then, the word for a male human was actually "wer" (like in "werewolf"), and for female, it was "wif" (as in "wife"). Over time, "man" shifted to primarily mean "male," but terms like "mankind" hung onto that older, inclusive sense.
So, using "man" in the "mankind" context isn't really a misuse or inherently sexist: it's tapping into the word's original roots. That said, I get why folks prefer "male" and "female" for clarity today. Peace!
I personally like 'man' as it had a poetic ring to me. I also think it makes sense to pay attention to the differing perception of language, as I want to be able to communicate effectively with all kinds of people.
I was a daily, active, and paying Youtube user until recently and am quitting entirely. I was still able to work around many of Google's dark patterns – like the aggressive bot and adblock measures – but it was a chore I do not care to continue, and the emotional distress caused by the extreme hostility and toxicity around everything Youtube is too high a price to pay for content.
I support content creators on Patreon but unfortunately many of them still use Youtube for hosting and those videos are not accessible to me any longer.
Large language models reliably produce misinformation that appears plausible only because it mimics human language. They are dangerous toys that cannot be made into tools that are safe to use.
Those should be closed WONTFIX. Neither doas nor sudo can protect you from the consequences of running untrusted code and must not attempt to do so because it adds needless complexity to safety-critical software.
